Day 1:

Introduces SketchUp tools and techniques- recta
- Getting
Started in Google Sketchup Part 2
Introduces dimensioning, Adding/subtracting selection, Move Tool,
Offset Tool, Follow Me
Day 2:
Designing Interiors, Offset Tool, Components, matching dimensions
Optional:
SketchUp Interactive Tutorials:
- Introduction to SketchUp ( Orbit, Pan,Zoom, Push-Pull Tools)
- Tutorial: Colors and Materials
Google SketchUp Assignment:
Draw a 3-D Model in SketchUp of a basic colonial-style house.
- Footprint of base house should be 25' x 50'
- 2 stories high(20') + attic
- Should have windows, doors
Recommend making separate Components for the following items:
• Basic House Structure
• Chimney
• Windows
• Doors
• Add-on sheds
Exterior surfaces should have textures applied- i.e.
- siding
- shingles
- roofing
- brick,etc.
- Translucent(glass)
As time permits, add on(as separate components):
- Using SketchUp with Google Earth
